HOW DOES THIS WORK?
It is very simple. Say your house is 1200 square feet, has a single air conditioner unit, and is on a slab (it's not pier and beam). Your charge will be the base rate, $400 because it is less than 2000 square feet and your single air conditioner is included.
Or, say your house is a little bit fancier. It is 2500 square feet and sits on a concrete slab, and it has an outdoor hot tub and two AC units. This will cost the base price, $400, plus $50 for the extra size, $25 for the second extra AC unit, and $25 to inspect the functioning and wiring of the hot tub equipment. If this were your house, your total would be $500.
We want to be very up front about our prices. We offer a great value for the unusually high quality reports you'll be getting, but it is only fair to charge a little more when we have to put in more time. For example, when your house is up on blocks (pier and beam construction) and we have to put on a suit and mask and crawl in the cramped and mudddy confines beneath your home, there will be a $125 charge for this service, which will give us a chance to check the underside of your home for decay, bad wiring, differential settlement, and other serious problems.
Sam is also available on a consulting basis at the rate of $150 per hour on site. Because of Sam's unsually thorough training, self education, and real-life experience, many people find some time spent discussing their residential or commercial structure to be invaluable.
